The dry-down is where this really shines—that hinoki comes through as a soft, almost powdery wood that balances the floral sweetness perfectly. I sprayed it on before work and could still catch whispers of it on my scarf late into the evening, which never happens with lighter perfumes.
The contrast between that sweet, narcotic burst and the dry, silken wood underneath is stunning — it smells expensive without trying too hard. Lasted through a whole evening out and still lingered on my scarf the next day.
